Job Title:Senior Engineering Technician (Fixed Term Contract Ending 30 June 2014)

Salary:R306 288 per annum (fixed package)

Minimum Requirements:

    Relevant tertiary qualification in the building environment
    Relevant trade
    Extensive knowledge of all relevant trades in the building industry
    Driver's licence
    Negotiation skills
    Computer literacy
    Extensive experience

Core Responsibilities:

    Manage projects
    Maintain all Municipal buildings in the region
    Manage and control personnel, ensure productivity and interpersonal relations
    Update the asset register and ensure compliance with Council policy
    Monitor and control financial costing of plant, material, internal labour and external contractors
    Enforce Occupational Health & Safety Act and other industry statutory requirements
    Compile reports
