Minimum Requirements:

    Grade 8
    Ability to read and write
    Relevant experience
    Valid driver's license - Code EC1 with PrDP

Preferred Requirements:

    Supervisory skills

Core Responsibilities:

    Supervise subordinates and ensure that staff wear protective clothing
    Issue instructions to drivers, team leader and subordinates and maintain discipline
    Ensure that drivers complete daily log sheets and adhere to all safety regulations and precautions
    Supervise workshops in regard to the maintenance and repair of vehicles, machines and equipment and do minor repairs when needed
    Liaise with Horticulturist on workshop and public
    Assist with training of General Workers and projects arranged by the section
    Report any injuries on duty
