Salary:115 836 - R150 396 per annum (plus benefits)

Minimum Requirements:

    Grade 12 or equivalent
    Secretarial Diploma
    Advanced computer competency
    Relevant local government experience

Core Responsibilities:

    Type the Director's correspondence and confidential documents such as letters, agendas, memoranda, etc
    Screen telephone calls and follow-up on complaints and enquiries
    Send and receive all required faxes, receive and deliver all documentation and correspondence for the Director
    Liaise with and between different levels and Director
    Arrange meetings, make and schedule appointments and keep the Director's diary
    Keep a register for all reports submitted to Metro and all new instructions handed to the Attorneys
    Keep records of leave forms, sick leave forms, attendance registers, acting allowance forms and monthly telephone accounts and send it through to Pay Office
    Delegate various tasks to staff members on behalf of the Director
    Direct members of the public to the relevant office to complete application forms regarding prospective sale of Council owned land and compile a list of received applications
    Perform other tasks as may be requested by the Director, Manager, Regional Executive Manager or Regional Manager including confidentiality on all matters concerned
