Job Title:    Maintenance Assistant

Facility:      Life Entabeni Hospital, Durban


Introduction:    
A vacancy exists for a Maintenance Assistant at Life Entabeni Hospital, reporting to Hospital Engineering Manager.
The job entails continuous availability of Services for the Hospital infrastructure.
Be a part of a professional team providing high standards in healthcare and a high tech environment.

Critical Outputs:    
Execute repairs / tasks as per job card and instructions from Manager.
Carry out general building maintenance tasks and daily checklists.
Carry out equipment / fixture / furniture repairs.
Assisting other team members in the department.
To be responsible for the repairs to all hospital beds and equipment
He will be responsible and involved in SHEQ procedures.
Carry out inspections and fill out checklists in terms of Engineering Policies and Procedures.

Requirements:   
Grade 12
Valid Driver’s License – Code 08 advantageous
In addition, the incumbent must have a minimum of 3 – 5 years working experience preferably in hospital environment.
Good communication Skills (both verbal and written), Good Planning and Organizing Skills
