The role:

The Onsetter fulfills a shift role on a shaft and is responsible for the safe delivery of materials and equipment to and from the shaft stations and the bank through the use of the recognized signaling and transportation devices.

Technical work responsibilities and requirements:

    All work is performed to 'Zero Tolerance' principles.
    Loading and unloading procedures are adhered to
    All safety devices are maintained and utilised as specified.
    Shaft signals and systems are used to specification.
    Shaft schedules for transport of materials and equipment are adhered to.

Core work outputs:

    Material and equipment on levels or surface as required.

Required Abilities:

    Onsetters certificate
    Station controller specific modules

Physical Requirements:

    Certificate of Fitness
    Valid Red Ticket
